HHFii is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of fifteen volunteer members with expertise in our program areas, business, not-for-profit operations, and/or possessing ties with a variety of immigrant communities and community-based organizations.
Wayne Webb – President and CEO
Wayne Webb has been a Director of Human Resources in hospitals and colleges for over fifteen years. He has served as the HR executive for these organizations and is aware of the issues affecting immigrants entering the workforce or pursuing educational goals to enter the workforce. He has over 20 years experience working in Human Resources in healthcare and higher Education and has expertise in achieving efficiency in operations. He has post masters certification in Training and Development as well as Organizational Development. He is also certified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Mr Webb arrived in the United States in 1993 as an international student to pursue graduate studies at The New School University, and is one of the founders of Helping Hands For Immigrants’ Integration Inc. Prior to arriving to the United States Mr. Webb was the Associate Director of The Office of Career and Placement Services for the University of The West Indies, Mona. His combined experience as an immigrant serving immigrant, former foreign student, and HR professional makes him ideally suited to speak to college preparation and job readiness issues affecting foreign students and immigrants in general.
Edward Hodge – Executive Committee Chairperson
Edward Hodge is a U.S. Citizen from St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) with roots also in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Hodge has had an impressive career in Technology both in Telephony and Computer Systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science in computer Information Systems from Monroe College and multiple Certifications. Mr. Hodge comes to the Board with experience working with immigrants through his church, Shiloh Temple Pentecostal Church. He has experience in planning fundraising events such as plays and concerts. Mr. Hodge hopes to bring his broad knowledge and experience to bear on the operation of HHFii. He is bilingual (English/Spanish).
